| Any updates? I'd love a proper remastered release of the EPs, Whirlpool & Blood Music. Chapterhouse deserves to be recognized as one of the best bands of their era, and new, remastered releases of at least their two records would be amazing (with expanded sleeves etc.) ... or could they not release Blood Music again with the copyright issues no matter what? |

I have never heard from them again despite of their promise to write back as soon as they get info from that manager or whoever it was (who was responsible for that release). Without Skull_X it would be de facto dead immediately.
I only know that Blood Music reissue was scheduled for October or November and I believe it never came out. |

I finally heard back from Stephen. This has been repressed at full quality and can be exchanged. He was going to post here himself but hasn't done so yet, but I don't think he'll mind that I posted this _________________ http://www.loveisforever.org

I haven't heard a thing. Wankers.
Guess I'll buy a new copy from elsewhere and keep the low quality copy as curiosa. _________________ -exit body, exit mind- |

Hi. Can you tell me how can the new release be distinguished from the original release? What year is marked on this release? Or perhaps the release code is different?
I own the original release and since it's one of my favourite albums (especially with the bonus songs), I was dissapointed to hear of the quality issues so I must get myself a new copy.
Thanks a lot,
Ivan |

What more to say here? I have never heard from them myself despite of their promises they would tell as soon as they learn something from production manager. It's been like 1 year and nothing. Without this forum I would not know anything at all. I do not know what I shall do with my copy and I honestly nearly stopped to care. It's embarrassing how they play dead about whole issue. 99% of people will never learn about either - having shit copy and having a "chance" to exchange it for a solid one.
The only result is that I will never ever buy anything from them again. It's a shame because Chapterhouse or Adorable did not do anything wrong. But it's only me. They will do fine with or without one extra copy sold .
Eff you Cherry Red. |

Last reply from cherry red ; I will send the disk again, but only as I feel it is the right thing to do as you deserve to have the correct copy as the fan of the Chapterhouse.
It is very unfair if people are complaining as you are the only person who I have problems with as regards to re-sending the chapterhouse album. Anyone's complaining is unjusticfied as I have made EVERY effort to ensure that people recieve these correct discs should they email about them (I would be upset if one of my favourite albums was repromoted in a rubbish quality). I believe people tend to forget we are not amazon but a small independant company with one person respond to all the queries.

Yes the address is correct ……
You should read the forum again and learn how other people are fed up Cherry Red and their absolute silence and crap service !
It’s still strange that every order I make I comes in my mailbox with no problems at all, and now I goes wrong twice ?!
And yes ; my manners may be not be the way it should be, but on the other hand, I’m frustrated with the long response and even no response from Cherry Red about this issue.
Whether you will send again or not I don’t care anymore, but one thing is for sure ; I will not order again from Cherry Red !!!
Yours,
Barry |

This is my first post here, but I arrived as a Chapterhouse fan, and I don't work for Cherry Red.
However, I must say that over years and years of ordering and buying from Cherry Red, I have never had anything but exemplary and friendly service from them. Clearly a mistake was made with the Whirlpool reissue, but this was corrected, and my new copy arrived a couple of days after I mailed back the original disc.
Incidentally, if anyone is unsure which version they have, they should turn the disc over and look at the writing around the central hole on the silver playing side. You should see the catalogue number CDMRED304, and opposite, the reference TC2159. This means you have the corrected version.
Cherry Red have made lots of great but obscure music from the 60s through to the 90s available again in recent years, and this can only be a good thing.
Right, I'm off to see whether anyone's talking about Butterfly Child on this forum... |
