Welcome, Esten!

Plenty of Cure fans here, myself included. Faith, Pornography, Disintegration, Wish, and Bloodflowers are my favourite Cure albums, although I also thought their last album 4:13 Dream was pretty good as well.

I dig them.

Also, does anyone else think the Veil Veil Vanish singer sounds a lot like Robert?

Totally loved The Cure when I was younger (the 80's / early 90's stuff), but have lost touch with them over recent years. I'm pretty sure that they have still got something to give, but I just haven't heard any recent output to comment...

Why do radio stations never play them anymore?

Never dressed like them, though!!

personally, I haven't been thrilled with anything they've put out recently.

my band does cover "A Forest" once every blue moon.

There last album is pretty sweet. Love Underneath the stars, The Hungry Ghost and The Reasons Why.

Wish is gold for me, it took it a while though. I seriously under appreciated that album until one day i played it and Open just randomly won me over. Porls presence is so strong on this album for me.

There Bsides are magnificent as well. This Twilight Garden, 2Late, Fear of Ghost.. The List goes on.

Saw them Live a year ago at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival where played at least one song from each era.

The ending was awesome, they would not stop playing and were eventually unplugged. Robert said something along the lines of "We can only play one more song... HA".

Ended there set with Boys Don't Cry
Jumping Someone Elses Train (alot of the equipment was turned off mid song with there amps being the only thing still turned on)
Then they were turned off completely and you just here Jason out of nowhere and they played what sounded like Grinding Halt.

Was pretty epic.

For me, things have been patchy since wish. Bloodflowers was good, as were The Cure and then the last one (what's it called? 4:13 dream?) Wild Mood Swings was where I wandered off for awhile.

I think the "wish" album is highly underrated.
"Edge of the deep green sea" and "open" are great
It also has the most sad song i have ever heard "to wish impossible things"
Robert S. is probably the very best at using poetry type lyrics with music both equally well.

+1 slim, edge of the deep green sea has the most wicked guitar solo, and also Cut and End are as remarkable as Edge and Open.

the album feels like smith let some of the grip off of the controls and let it be more a band album, and it totally shows over and over the brilliance of the other members of the band line up at the time.
