Perfume Tree was from Vancouver, then morphed into the more techno-oriented Veloce, moved to Victoria, and eventually disappeared.
I was lucky enough to play a few shows opening for Veloce.

Thanks John ... any recommendations on best album of theirs? I have only listened to a few interesting tracks but never caught their song titles ...any help would be much appreciated.

Well, what can I say? Toronto, you let us down. Again. At this rate, we're not really eager to return there. Playing to an empty room isn't much fun.

My name is Lawrence and I host a bi-monthly DJ night with occasional live sessions from bands called POP NOIR. I mix up my set list with classic early 80/90's brit Shoegazer with more current stuff along with Indie, BritPop and NewWave. Anybody who is into this should have a look at www.thepopnoir.com, come and introduce yourself and ask for a request if I have it I will play it! It is also great to know that people coming to Lot 16 are there because they are into the night!! John from Hinterland you are welcome to come and perform a live session anytime at POP NOIR I will make sure you will not be playing to an empty room!!!
