shoegaze

Hi, i have recorded a post rock/shoegaze ish album.

It is available for on local netlabel
Please give it a listen and let me know what you think, there are some tracks on if you fancy trying before you, er, get them for free...




It is recorded in my bedroom using an sm57, mac laptop mic, AKG 414 and D112. I recorded through An M-Audio Ozone in to Locic express on my MacBook. Hope you like it!

Hi Toma,

I guess since your album title was so alluring, I decided to give it a shot.
I just want to say that I enjoyed the whole thing thoroughly, thanks in part to the well done sequencing.
When the highs hit, they hit oh-so-well.
"Christmas at Home" stands out in my mind as it was very gorgeous, and sounded somewhat like a dark Brian Wilson-esque track.
I'll be listening to your previous works for sure!

P.S. This may be a bit geeky, but did you get your moniker from the character in Chrono Trigger?

I put a fair bit of effort in to getting the highs to work, as there is nothing more disappointing than a recording where the climax just doesn't sound 'phat' enough.

Unfortunately, namewise it is nothing as cool as that (or geeky):
my first name is tom, and my 2nd begins with 'A', so tom-a.(also, im part french, and 'toma' is howyou would phonetically speak the name 'thomas' in french, kinda fitted...)

I'm loving it too, Toma.

Listened on MySpace first, and will download it when I have the time (my PC is very slow at downloading!!)

Keep up the good work. Always interesting to hear new, non-derivative, stuff on here...!

Hey, if there is anyone still interested, the album has now been remastered, and a CD version is now available to buy via IFF Transponder Records .

You can also listen to a complete stream of the remastered album there.

(the remastered version sounds Phat!)

of course, the original download is still available!
