i was fortunate enough to have quite a bit of money a few years back, and came across an orange ad30tc head... i bought it because i was really into sleep and other fuzz bands, and couldn't pass up the deal. $900 for a brand new head?! ridiculous.
a few months later, i bought two orange 4x12 cabs because i thought it would be the best compliment for the head considering they're made by the same company, (and other bands know you mean business when you set up for a set, lol.)
along with a gibson les paul and a few electro harmonix pedals, a soviet big muff and a boss dd6, the thing is a monster. it's smooth and balanced, heavy when you need it to be, and subtle with nuance picking.
it feeds back a bit- not in that high-pitched annoying sound, but more of a low groan- but if you can control it and learn to use it as part of your sound, you're golden.
alot of people say orange is the new cliche amp, but i know why. they work, and they work well. plus, they're freakin' bright orange ! i love my rig and i'll never give it up... it's a huge part of my sound, and i feel naked with any other amp.
