Hello all, I have been visiting this forum for a couple of years and just recently joined. I got into shoegaze through a long time obsession with The Cure, since they were a pretty big influence on a lot of the bands. I was fortunate enough to live in Richmond, VA when MBV played there last year. Anyway, I'm glad to be here.

I learned my lesson at a Dinosaur Jr show a few months earlier (I didn't wear earplugs at that show). This time I wore earplugs, and stood about fifteen feet from the monitors on the left side of the stage. It was freezing in there from all of the air that the speakers were pushing.
