Delay, delay, delay...

I'm shopping around, of course I want a delay that would go well with my the stuff i've got.
what are viable options ? Digital vs. Analog? Bang for your buck? etc...

this is a bit of a side note i guess...
I've got a boss dd-7, if i'm honest i bought it without much demoing and mainly got it on peopels preference.
If you've got one Kestral, would you mind giving me the tricks of the trade? ive got the basic thigns down but i know there must be loads you can do with it!
for instance, i noticed the guitarist from bloc party uses a boss delay to to pitch shift, i presume this is by speeding up the oscillations but i dont know how this is done.
interstellaroverdrive i have to agree with your views on self oscillation!
have you thought about making you own pedal, ive done a couple from kits and they work well (i havent actualyl done a delay pedal) its a fair bit cheaper and you might actually learn something in the prcess:D
