Awesome thread, I've been wondering the same thing since becoming obsessed with 'heaven or las vegas' recently ^_^ _________________ x. |

I must have everything they've released and all of it is awesome. My favourite band by far. |

I had a big Cocteaus revival in my house recently.
I also decided to hit ebay and try to find any eps I was missing.
Unfortunately I'm a vinyl junkie so some are a bit pricey.
I think I would have to say I prefer the later stuff but I agree that it's hard to go wrong. Each of the albums is amazing in it's own way.
I was unaware of the RG solo stuff - I must check it out.
I know it's unlikely, but how great would it be to have another album? |

Personally, I would rather that they didn't!
They have left an amazing legacy, and let us be happy with that. I hate reunion albums with a passion! Also I was so pleased that the planned US festival gigs (Coachella, was it?) were ditched, too. At least Elizabeth has her scruples intact!!
Good for you, Liz... _________________ Ruby-Ha |

| Blue Bell Knoll and Victorialand are it for me!!! They really are a bit of a musical Rorschach. The first album I bought by them was Blue Bell Knoll when it was originally released. I hated it at first but then it grew on me to the point where I not only listen to it today but it is the measure by which I use to determine greatness... It is by far (for me) the best album I have ever heard. Truly, I cannot imagine they will ever be surpassed... the guitar work and vocals are timeless. However, I understand there are a majority of people who can never get over her style and pitch and I have met some who feel nauseous when guitars repeat like echos over and over again. I truly feel sorry for them. |
